Food Nutrition
Jeevan Setu Foundation is dedicated to tackling India’s pressing food and nutrition challenges head-on, through innovative, community-driven programs that fight malnu0trition and encourage wholesome eating habits among the nation’s most vulnerable populations. By distributing vital nutritional supplements, fortified meals, and fresh produce to at-risk families, children, and expectant mothers, these initiatives provide immediate relief while empowering communities with practical education on balanced diets, home gardening, and food preservation techniques. Emphasizing sustainability, the foundation trains local volunteers and partners with farmers to establish self-reliant food systems, fostering lasting improvements in health outcomes like reduced stunting, stronger immunity, and enhanced overall well-being for generations to come.
Nutrition for Pregnant Women
The foundation provides supplementary nutrition kits, iron-folic acid supplements, and regular check-ups to prevent anemia and support healthy pregnancies in low-income families. This program targets rural and urban poor women, ensuring maternal and fetal well-being through monitored feeding.
Child Nutrition Drives
Free mid-day meals and fortified food distributions are organized at Anganwadi centers and schools to tackle stunting and undernutrition in children under five. Educational sessions teach balanced diets using local ingredients, fostering lifelong healthy habits.
Community Nutrition Camps
Health camps feature food-based exhibitions, anemia screenings, and distribution of nutrient-rich rations like millets and pulses to underserved communities. These events combine awareness workshops with immediate relief to address micronutrient deficiencies.
Food Distribution Relief
During crises, the foundation coordinates emergency food packets and hot meals for families facing poverty or illness, linking nutrition aid with medical support. Volunteer networks ensure timely delivery and hygiene standards in distribution efforts.
